Photography wasn't always in my deck of cards. People would always ask me what I wanted to do and I always had a different answer, jumping from one thing to the next was how I was playing the game of life. One day I decided I had always wanted a camera and I went out and got one, from that day forward I always had the same answer "photographer" I had found my creative outlet. For me it is a constant push to one up myself. The one word I strive to have describe my images is "epic" it's the same word I want to think of when I'm at the end of my road looking back at my life. | |

Happy New Year! Friday, January 1, 2010 With my first official year in business coming to a close I have started to sink back into my own head to contemplate my existence as a photographer in the world today. My images, presence, reputation, friends I have made, and the never ending list of things and events that effected myself and my business. I fell victim to focusing only on the paid work I had coming in over the last few months and it almost feels like I forgot what my vision was. With the end of the year coming to a close it really forces you to come face to face with what you want from the future. I took a step back to look at myself, my work and the road I have been trying to follow and I have to say I am excited for the future. I am excited about the personal projects I am starting to work on, the clients I have, the clients I plan to gain, and all the people I will get to meet on the journey. I want to thank everyone who has taken part in allowing me to work as a photographer, the clients who put faith in me, the friends who gave encouragement and the family members who supported my dream. It may be a continuous struggle but I am lucky to be able to follow my passion. |
